FRIENDS Magazine’s mission is to utilize the publication as an alternative exhibition space, highlighting a diverse group of emerging photographers. Each issue revolves around a central idea and experiments with forms of dissemination. Both analog and digital formats challenge the dominant modes of commercial art, client-based design and mainstream publishing. The project aims to build community and artistic camaraderie through conversation, connection and engagement with both the artist and the public.

The framekwork for the first and future issues of FRIENDS was developed during the last year of my undergradute studies.

The first issue features work from Joseph Caster, Rydel Cerezo, Sade Mia, Kirk Lisaj and Holly Chang
